Meanwhile a release from the Prime Minister’s Office has stated that contrary to a report in today’s Express Newspaper, the Prime Minister was not stuck at sea.
The release noted that the Trinidad Express published a story written by Ms. Anna Ramdass titled “Rowley stuck at sea, PM sees ferry problems first-hand”.
The article claims that ” Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley was stuck out on the high seas for several hours as the T&T Express ferry to Tobago encountered engine problems”.
The releases rubbished the article labelling it an absolute fabrication since the ferry set sail at around 4:00 pm with the journey to Tobago being uninterrupted and without incident.
The release also stated that the Office of the Prime Minister is now requesting an immediate retraction and apology from the Trinidad Express for publishing what it termed a most erroneous and misleading article.
Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley did pay a surprise visit to the Port of Port of Spain yesterday with the purpose of sailing to Tobago.
However there were issues with the T&T Express and because of mechanical problems there were delays.
