The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Kamla Persad- Bissessar had intervened in the disagreement between National Security Minister Gary Griffith and Sport Minister Anil Roberts.
The two had been at odds over the CPL Red Steel Franchise.
She issued a statement at the weekly post Cabinet news briefing on Thursday.
Last week Minister Roberts wrote to the organizers of the Caribbean Premiere League sighting protocol surrounding the use of brand T&T.
The Sport Minister said that the name could not be used by a privately run venture that has no involvement with the T&T Cricket Board.
On Tuesday Digicel n behalf of the Caribbean Premiere League released a stement.
It informed the public that after an intervention from Minister Griffith Trinidad and Tobago was reattached to the Red Steel name.
In an immediate response at the Ministry of Sport on Tuesday afternoon Roberts maintained that the name of the team was still Red Steel and not the Trinidad and Tobago red Steel.
