With the announcement that she will be moving to open a “fully operational” Office of the Prime Minister on the sister isle, it seem battle lines have been drawn for control of Tobago…..

The Prime Minister made the announcement this weekend in Tobago, on the heels of claims by Tobago House of Assembly, Chief Secretary, Orville London, that the Central Government has shown disrespect with its continuous attempts to encroach on the THA’s jurisdiction and undermine its authority…

On Friday, Mr. London signalled his intention to take the Central Government to court for its decision to open a CEPEP office in Tobago without the approval of the THA.

But during a political meeting on Saturday night at Tamarind Square, Scarborough, Mrs. Persad-Bissessar, in relation to Mr. London’s proposed legal action said a courthouse is a place of justice and she had plenty court clothes….and she was not afraid…

She described Mr. London’s actions as self-serving tunnel vision….that has hindered the development of Tobago….
Meantime, during a People’s Partnership Thanksgiving Service to celebration its one year anniversary at the Mason Hall Secondary School in Tobago, the Prime Minister promised to construct a school for special children at Bon Accord….
