The country is this afternoon awaiting word from the Integrity Commission as to whether or not it has officially cleared the Prime Minister and former Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan of any wrongdoing in the Emailgate fiasco.
A letter from ComputerLaw Group LLP of California, has been circulated by Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar on social media today and it notes that Google Inc investigations into the email exchanges between the addresses [email protected] and [email protected] for the period September 1st 2012 to September 31st 2012, have shown that there is no match to the emails contained in the document produced by Opposition Leader, Dr. Keith Rowley.
The letter notes that the Google report would have also been served to the attorneys acting for the Integrity Commission and now, it is a matter for which the Integrity Commission has to vindicate the Prime Minister and the former Attorney General of any wrongdoing as claimed by the Leader of the Opposition.
The Prime Minister, in a post on Twitter earlier today said the letter proves that Dr. Rowley created fake emails for bogus charges and adds that the Opposition Leader must apologise to all who he lied to.
