Prime Minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, has warned Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley that Friday will be a “red letter day” in the country when his own no-confidence motion could backfire on him.

In an address to supporters at the Couva South constituency complex last night, Mrs. Persad-Bissessar said her government was strong, so when the Leader of the Opposition calls for a no-confidence motion in her leadership, she would ask him, in which mirror was he looking.

Persad-Bissessar said the PNM will be better served asking the question as to whether Dr. Rowley’s own MPs and party supporters really have confidence in him as leader of the Opposition.

The Prime Minister, in a message to Dr. Rowley, noted “the raging bull will meet his matador on Friday”

Dr. Rowley filed a motion of no confidence in Mrs. Persad-Bissessar, which will be debated at 1.30 p.m. on Friday in the Parliament.
