PNM CLARIFIES 7,000 REJECTIONS

ASHTON FORDEThe People’s National Movement has said numerous inconsistencies have forced the party to reject some 7,000 applicants wishing to join the organization.

The applications were made in the run-up to the party’s May 18 internal election, which is being conducted for the first time using the one-man one-vote system.

PNM General Secretary, Ashton Ford, said 7,900 applicants where accepted and placed on the list for the polls.
