votingPolling stations were opened at 8am this morning to start the election process that will decide on a new Executive within the People’s National Movement.

Forty-one polling stations have been set up to allow members whose names appear on the voters list a chance to cast their ballot.

Also voting today is the current Political leader of the PNM, Dr. Keith Rowley. Dr. Rowley will cast his vote at St Anthony’s College in Deigo Martin.

Contender for Political leader, Penelope Beckles- Robinson will cast her vote at the Arima Central Secondary School.

Polling stations will close at 6pm.

Current General Secretary of the PNM, Ashton Forde said so far the process has been smooth. He added that no discrepancies or complaints have been raised by voters.

He did say however, that the process has been slow but expects it to pick up.
