It stated that it took issue with the blatant disregard shown to the honest, hardworking, tax-payers of this country by those responsible.
It went on to say that as the nation’s future custodians, the organization demanded a thorough investigation, free of all political influence and for All perpetrators of crimes linked to Life Sport to be brought to swift justice.
The Organisation claimed that as the line minister Mr. Anil Roberts assumed responsibility for the programme in attempting to establish its merits in Parliament and should therefore also accept ultimate responsibility for its abject failure.
The release also stated that it was an affront to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago to deny that Minister Roberts was devoid of responsibility in this matter or was grossly negligent at best.
In light of this, the group called upon the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago to practice ‘politics with principle’ and immediately revoke the appointment of Anil Roberts as Minister of Sports.
The release finished by saying that it was their genuine hope that the present administration would show respect for the people Trinidad and Tobago in this manner and abandon its foolhardy quest to practice bad governance at every opportunity.
