Point Fortin Mayor, Clyde Paul, welcomes news by Works Minister, Jack Warner, that his Ministry has received 250 million dollars for road repairs.

Minister Warner indicated this development during a news briefing held on Tuesday.

Mr Warner had reportedly threatened to resign from the ministerial position if problems continue with a lack of funding to carry out critical road projects across the nation.

Recently residents of Point Fortin, La Brea and Tamana demonstrated for better roads.

In a News Power Authority interview this afternoon, Mayor Paul said he was pleased with the reported release of the funds for road repairs.

He added delivering on promises to fix the roads is an area many citizens want to see materialize.
