grenadeParents of students attending the Point Fortin R. C. School at Mahaica Rd in Point Fortin

were, earlier this morning, being urged to collect their children, as the school had been

officially closed for the day, after a hand grenade was found near to the institution.

The grenade was reportedly found by employees of the Point Fortin Borough Council who

were cleaning areas surrounding the compound.

Police were called in and the area had been cordoned off.

News Power Now understands that most of the pupils ran out of the compound, leaving their

grenade 2bags and other personal belongings behind, including traveling money in some instances.
