Police are today hunting the perpetrators of a heinous murder in the St. Ann’s area which has claimed the life of well known patriot, Dr. Claire Broadbridge. She was 80 years old.
The crime scene was described as horrendous. The woman- a former director of the National Museum and Art Gallery was killed in what police believe was a robbery attempt. Her attackers also attempted to set her home ablaze. At around 6pm yesterday, residents of the Fondes Amandes are said to have noticed smoke coming from her home and contacted the fire services and police. Broadbridge’s body was subsequently found.
According to police officers at the scene, it is believe Broadbridge, who was home alone, was attacked by bandits during a robbery.
