Police Officer Shot In Standoff With Tableland Suspect

police shootingA police officer has been shot and is said to be warded at the San Fernando General Hospital.

News Power Now understands that 27- year- old PC Lincoln Morris who is attached to the San Fernando CID was shot in the leg during a standoff with occupants of a house in the Tableland area on Tuesday.

According to reports, PC Morris, and other officers went to the house in search of a wanted man and upon arriving at the residence they were met with gunfire. There was an exchange of gunfire and the suspect was shot in the hand while the officer was shot on the leg.

Police subsequently recovered two guns and a quantity of marijuana. Two women and a child were also in the house.

Southern division police are investigations.
