Police Officers social media conduct to be addressed

The conduct of police officers when it comes to their use of social media – particularly the placement of images and videos that reflect negatively on the service, will be addressed. President of the Police Social and Welfare Association, Michael Seales, speaking on the matter during a News Power Now interview this morning, said the practice has not gone unnoticed, however he said proper protocols must be enacted to deal with social media use and the police service, before direct action can be taken.

He said officers have however been warned about improper conduct and told that they must strive to be exemplars in society.
