Police remove firearms from the street

crime grapicSeveral anti-crime operations  across Trinidad have resulted in several guns and ammunition being removed from the streets.

On Wednesday a 45 year old  security guard was at the Princes Town East Secondary School when he found what appeared to be a Beretta Pistol on the premises.

He called the police who confirmed it was a gun.

The firearm was removed from the scene.

In the Northern Division;  officers  carried out an exercise in  Arima where they found one  AK-47, one  magazine and one  black bullet proof vest.

The contraband were found in a grassy area near a river at Mendez Trace, Samaroo Village, Arima

No one was arrested in this incident.
