Police Social and Welfare Association calls for proper tools to fight crime

by | Nov 6, 2014

Michael Seales 1Secretary of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Social and Welfare Association Inspector Michael Seales has called for officers to be properly equipped for the fight against crime.

The statement comes after an officer was shot during an exchange of gunfire between police officers and bandits yesterday morning in St Augustine.

Reports indicate that the officer was not outfitted with a bullet-proof vest at the time of the shooting.

The Inspector said that the association is now calling for it to be made mandatory that officers wear bullet-proof vests.
