The Police Social and Welfare Association is in support of efforts to rid the service of corrupt officers.
Recently it was reported that a warrant was issued for the arrest of a woman police officer wanted in connection with fraud-related charges amounting to thousands of dollars from the police finance branch.
Police Social and Welfare Association President, Inspector Anand Ramesar, in an interview said measures to restore public trust and confidence are critical adding rogue officers must be weeded out of the service.
He called for the probe into the matter to be thorough and relevant action taken where necessary.
