The Police Social and Welfare Association is underscoring the need for a detailed and proper probe into this week’s police killing of a Bagatelle , Diego Martin resident who was in his twenties.
There is controversy surrounding the incident with residents giving one version and police, another.
Earlier this week Bagatelle residents protested, blocking the roadway and burning tires to highlight their disgust and concern about the matter.
Last month a man in his twenties was killed by police officers under controversial circumstances in Glencoe.
However, Police Social and Welfare Association Secretary, Michael Seales, in a News Power Now interview on Friday said transparent investigations will go a long way in bringing closure to the matter.
Mr. Seales said restoring trust and confidence in the police is a vital aspect in making inroads against lawlessness.
