President of the Police Social and Welfare Association, Inspector Anand Ramesar says the Day of Total Policing which led to traffic
gridlocks across the country on March 23rd, was in fact a planned initiative that should have taken place in January.
Also speaking on the Power Breakfast show this morning, Inspector Ramesar said going forward, the conversation on how such as
initiative can be executed in a better way, must be had.
General Secretary of the association, Michael Seales said it is hoped that another day of Total policing is executed again, soon.
Meanwhile, on the statements made by Minister of National Security, Retired Brigadier, Carl Alfonso in the parliament, which led to a
recommendation in the report that a commission of enquiry be held into the matter, Inspector Ramesar said he felt that the minister
had jumped on the sensationalizing bandwagon during his parliamentary presentation.
