Political Analyst Rishi Maharaj is describing the meeting between Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley and Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar, to a game of chess.

After the meeting, both the Prime Minister and the Opposition Leader described Wednesday’s talks as fruitful.

The Prime Minister had suggested legislative reform to the Summary Courts Act and Preliminary Inquiry Act as a way to fix the judicial impasse over 53 part-heard cases caused by the appointment and resignation of Marcia Ayers-Caesar to the High Court.
