Wage implementation has been at the heart of protest action by workers at the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. Seamen and Waterfront Workers Trade Union President Michael Annisette says the workers are frustrated with the current situation.

Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102FM this morning, Mr. Anisette said the protest action led to Port delays.

He said the Authority’s slow response in addressing this and other issues have contributed to the workers’ action, adding that there was a meeting with the Minister of Works, Rohan Sinanan who, at that time promised to treat with the workers’ concerns, however he said, to date nothing has materialized.
