PoS Mayor says city Corporation will do what is required to maintain order in the Capital

Despite being taken to court by lawyers representing social displaced persons, Port of Spain Mayor, Keron Valentine, say the City Corporation will do what is required to maintain order in the Capital.

Speaking in a News Power Now interview this afternoon said the council was informed of the need to address the issue of homeless persons and referring them to rehabilitation and other support services provided by the state.

Mayor Valentine also said there are incidents where some socially displaced persons have attacked members of the public.

He admitted that the City Corporation had to move on the matter and prevent the challenge from not getting out of control.

The vagrants of POS have their own lawyers and their own union. Vagrants of all nations unite.Perhaps the mayor of POS should make an effort to accommodate the vagrants and their lawyers in the same institute. In this case a lasting bond between lawyers and vagrants will be created.Hopefully there is enough space at St.Ann’s.
