Prime Minister acknowledges that it is becoming harder for government to get persons to serve on state boards.

Dr Keith Rowley,Dr Keith Rowley explains that one of the setbacks had to do with persons who are concerned about their image and character being tarnished in the public domain.

Commenting on the recent decision of Malcom Jones to resign from the Standing Committee on Energy, Dr Rowley said while he accepted his termination but felt that the gentleman was a victim of a sustained attack against him following the failed gas to liquid project during his tenure as the Executive Director at state owned Petrotrin.

Speaking with reporters at the weekly post cabinet media briefing Thursday , Dr Rowley admitted that the development can be a turn off for persons who may be considering serving on state enterprises.
