Eighteen Muslims who were arrested on Wednesday remained in police custody.
Among those arrested were LifeSport coordinator Rajaee Ali.
Ali has been named among a number of people who allegedly benefited from corruption in the LifeSport Program.
Police said the men were arrested for questioning about several offences.
They stated contrary to media reports they waited until the men had completed prays at the Jamaat-al-Muslimeen Carapo mosque before the arrest were made.

However, Imam of the mosque Hasan Ali has disputed the police’s story of how the raid when down.
Mr. Ali said he believes members of his mosque and family are being targeted.
Meanwhile, Imam Yasin Abu-Bakr has commented on the raid stating they will not tolerate the unlawful arrested during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a release sent late last night, the Ministry of National Security said while there is no evidence of any threat; all usual systems remain in place that would deal with any or all threats to public safety and security.
It stated these measures are part of the nation’s upgraded defence mechanisms that remain in place on an on-going basis.
