Protest action took place yesterday outside the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries.

Yesterday, protest action outside of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries saw an outpouring of emotion as The All Trinidad General Workers’ Trade Union and employees of the ministry called on Minister Clarence Rhambarat to address their concerns, which includes issues over outstanding backpay and health and safety .

The small group also highlighted the plight of the Buffalypso, an animal that is native to Trinidad and Tobago. It was noted that there is insufficient staff to tend to the animals and coupled with a lack of food, the buffalypso population has decreased to merely 1000.
