In November last year the PSA election was postponed after one of the four slates contesting the poll , Team Fixers, got an injunction stopping it due to alleged irregularities in the list of voters prepared by the Association’s elections committee.
In delivering judgment, High Court Judge Frank Seepersad ruled that Team Fixers which is led by Solomon Gabriel had put forward valid claims which have to be determined before the election is allowed to proceed.
Speaking with reporters after the ruling PSA President, Watson Duke, said the March timeline will give him adequate time to get the request in place.
Team Fixers Leader Solomon Gabriel said the court’s ruling is welcomed.
United Public Officers candidate, Oral Saunders, also gave his support with the court’s judgment.
