The Transport and Industrial Workers Union says it has been assured of an improved police presence along the Priority Bus Route in the Beetham area following safety concerns raised by bus drivers.
TIWU President, Roland Sutherland, told News Power Now that this agreement came out of a meeting held today between union representatives, PTSC officials and the Police Service.
Earlier today the PTSC in a media release apologized to members of the travelling public who were adversely affected by the disruptions to its services this morning.
It said East\West\North and South routes traversing the PBR were affected.
Mr. Sutherland said he hopes these promises are kept.
