Public buildings to be made more accessible to the differently abled

The government has given the assurance that the Town and Country Planning Division is making a direct effort to ensure that public buildings provide access for the differently abled.

Planning and Development Minister Camille Robinson Regis explained that satisfying Occupational Safety and Health requirements is also another area where compliance must be met.

She gave the commitment in the Senate this week after being questioned by the Opposition to indicate what is in place to ensure that public buildings meet the OSH requirements and are accessible to the differently-abled.
