There were mixed reactions from some callers to the programme on the issue of the police killing of five young men in Laventille last week.
One caller expressed the view that in the past there has been uproar and protest action by residents in these areas, when incidents of this nature occurred. The caller questioned why such strong interest isn’t given when innocent people are killed and police call on eye witnesses to come forward with information.
Another caller spoke about the importance of having police officers properly assessed when such situations occur.
Meanwhile, a third caller to the radio station said people must continue to let their voices be heard, especially when it means condemning criminal activity.
