Transport Minister, Devant Maharaj, is of the view it would be healthy competition for Caribbean Airlines now that REDjet to operate in the country.

The legal issues between the airline and the Civil Aviation Authority of Trinidad and Tobago have been settled on terms which are mutually acceptable to all parties.

The Minister added the terms of the settlement “remain private as between the parties.
Mr. Maharaj said the Regulatory Authorities are “now satisfied” that all the stringent regulatory requirements including safety have been fulfilled.

Speaking to Newspower Authority this afternoon,  Mr. Maharaj explained such a move would help the travelling public.
