Relief on The Way for Chaguanas Residents Affected By This Afternoon’s Inclement Weather

Some of the persons affected by strong winds and heavy rains in Chaguanas this afternoon are getting relief.

Confirmation of this comes from former Edinburgh 500 Councilor, Dwarika Singh.

Media reports say around 1pm the roofs of several homes were blown off when bad weather struck in Central Trinidad.

In a News Power Now interview Mr. Singh indicated that a team from the Chaguanas Borough Corporation is on the field assessing the extent of damage caused.

Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management Chief Executive Officer, Dr Steven Ramroop , in a News Power Now interview this afternoon said first responder agencies have started their work.

He said they are getting support from CEPEP and URP workers who are helping with clean up efforts.
