A religious leader cites the need for unity and peace among the country’s political leaders.
The appeal comes from Reverend Daniel Teelucksingh of the Presbyterian Church. On Sunday the Inter-Religious Organisation held its National Day of Prayer.
Reverend Teelucksingh said with serious times facing the nation and the world it cannot be business as usual.
He noted the importance of togetherness and what can be achieved when people put aside differences.

Meanwhile, Roman Catholic Archbishop Joseph Harris highlighted the value of humility and helping the vulnerable and less fortunate in society.
Archbishop Harris also noted the dangers of losing focus and allowing greed to take over.
