Religious Leaders agree to exception clause allowing those under 18 to marry.

A special meeting between the Attorney General and 17 Religious Leaders yesterday yielded positive results according to those in attendance.

There was an agreement to amend the legal age of marriage to 18.

In an interview this morning, the Right Reverend Claude Berkley Bishop of the Anglican Church who attended the meeting yesterday stated that the leaders also agreed that an exceptions clause should be maintained, allowing for those under the age of 18 to be married, in special circumstances.
