At Friday’s hearing, Renee Coolman told the court he failed to help his wife when armed men entered their driveway and kidnapped her on December 19, 2006.
Mr. Coolman said he was so scared he ran back into the house and hid himself from the kidnappers. He told the court the ordeal lasted approximately five minutes.
The matter will resume before, Justice Malcolm Holdip and a 12 member jury.
Allan Martin, Shervon Peters, Keida Garcia, brothers Marlon and Earl Trimmingham, Ronald Armstrong, Antonio Charles, Joel Fraser, Lyndon James, Devon Peters, Anthony Dwayne Gloster and Jamille Garcia are charged for Mrs. Naipaul-Coolman’s kidnapping and subsequent murder.
