PSA President, Watson Duke

Workers of the Regional health Authority accompanied by the Public Services Association President Watson Duke took protest action yesterday.

They complained that even though they were promised otherwise by the Health Minister, what they signed with Civil servants was not being passed on to them.

Minister of Health Dr. Fuad Khan revealed through the media that Mr. Duke had no legal standing to bargain for RHA workers.

He also referenced the Industrial Relations act, labelling any protest action by the workers as illegal.

However Mr. Duke disclosed that he and the Health Minister have been at odds for some time now.

Mr. was speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1 fm this morning.

He stated that the Health Minister could not dictate who represented thek workers.
The PSA President also divulged that the workers demands were not unreasonable.

Duke insisted that the reason the workers had not been given what was owed to them was due to the wickedness of the Health Minister.
