Safe City goes to Tobago

NEWS GRAPHIC 13The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has taken the Safe City Initiative to the sister isle.

Senior Superintendent of the Tobago Andy Jules led a team of officers and the Chief Secretary Orville London through the street of Scarborough to signal the launch of the program.

He said the event’s launch came at a time when crime has reared its head on the island.

Superintendent Jules maintained crime in Tobago is down.

He called on the public to assist officers in their investigations.

Acting Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams was at the launch where he said the Safe City Initiative establishes their presence on the island.

He added that this year has been a good one for the service.
