Sanitation Plans Being Defended in Arima

NEWS GRAPHIC 15The decision by the Arima Borough Corporation to close the market for one day in the month to carry out sanitation work is being defended.

Earlier this month some vendors protested outside the market voicing their opposition to the move.

They claim that the move was resulted in loss of earning and profit.

However, in a News Power Now interview this afternoon Arima Mayor, George Hadeed said the sanitation of the market is critical to ensure standards are observed and maintained.
