Saudia Arabia’s Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah has given the assurance that his Ministry will seek to address concerns relative to visa issues and the establishment of honorary consuls in both T&T and Saudi Arabia.
His assurance came following a meeting on Wednesday with Trinidad and Tobago’s Foreign affairs Minister, Winston Dookeran.
Minister Dookeran is said to have requested a simplified method by which locals wishing to visit Saudi Arabia for the Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca, could obtain a Visa to visit the country.
In March this year, several local Muslims seeking to attain visas to travel to Saudia Arabia were arrested in Venezuela. They were however released, following the intervention of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
