The former Minister of Works and Transport Steven Cadiz says the investigations into the procurement contract of the Cabo Star and the Ocean Flower 2 must to be very specific.
He says he’s not convinced that the investigations that have been launched have been specific enough in its scope of operations into the two issues.
The former minister this morning explained that he feels it’s impossible to have a transparent and effective investigation without specialized knowledge.
Meanwhile, President General of the Seamen and Waterfront Workers Union, Michael Anisette on Monday called on the Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley to assure citizens that the country will be given a suitable vessel to operate the sea bring between the islands.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast morning show on Power 102.1FM on Monday, Mr. Annisette alleged that the charter party agreement was not signed.
He is also pleading with the Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan to have the matter settled in the shortest possible time, noting that he was appointed to the Ministry of Works and Transport just prior to the vessel’s acquisition.
