The Education Ministry indicates that the Secondary Entrance Assessment will be held on Thursday May 3rd.
It explains that the SEA 2018 examination will consist of three papers English Language Arts Writing, Mathematics, and English Language Arts.
In a media release the Ministry pointed out that there will be no change to the three papers comprising this year’s SEA when compared to the SEA 2017.
It noted that the items for the Mathematics and English Language Arts papers will be based on the content contained in the Primary School Curriculum Guidelines (2013) currently being implemented.
The Ministry reveals that 2018 will be the last year that the examination will be held in May (Term III).
In 2019, the SEA will revert to a March (Term II) as was previously done.
As the date for the SEA approaches the Ministry of Education indicates that will be working with schools to ensure that all students are prepared by way of additional support such as concessions and assistance from the Student Support Services Division.
