Senior Superintendent of the Central Division, Inspector Johnny Abraham said despite claims that members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service may not be working, there is an on-going battle to remove firearms off the nation’s streets.
Speaking with the Power Breakfast show this morning Inspector Abraham said that so far for the year his Division removed over 40 different types of firearms from several areas in Central Trinidad.
Inspector Abraham further revealed that an estimated figure of over 300 firearms was recovered from by the TTPS across the country at different Divisions. Abraham questioned where the weapons were coming from, given that the country does not manufacture firearms.
