The San Juan Business Association remains confident progress can be made when Prime Minister, Kamla Persad Bissessar, meet with trade union leaders today to discuss their list of concerns.

One area the labour movement opposes is the controversial five percent wage cap.

They have already made it clear a national strike looms if government fails to properly address matters affecting the working class and remove the salary ceiling which the Prime Minister maintains was never imposed by the government.

He warned failure to approach the dispute with a level of maturity can seriously impact national development.
