General Elections in Trinidad and Tobago just a few weeks away, things are heating up. Allegations of bias during an interview by journalist, Ken Ali on Hot Like Pepper Radio’s 10-1 weekly programme, is the hot topic today, after PNM Member of Parliament for Laventille West, Fitzgerald Hinds “unknowingly” recorded the behind the scenes conversation in a LIVE stream on his social media platform. The radio station’s manager is heard blatantly uttering expletives and accusing Ali of bias in his interview method. Ali is heard during the exchange, explaining that he is not a Public Relations agent.
Hinds, the Public Utilities Minister, tells that he was merely asked to come to the station for an interview, but also complains of the interview being “scrappy” as he terms it. Expletives hurled throughout the almost 4 minute long livestream, fans and followers of Hinds were privy to hearing what took place in the moments leading up to Hinds admitting to the radio station manager Anand Rampersadsingh, that the entire off air exchange had “unknowingly” been streamed live.
