Despite the belief that Petrotrin workers will be well compensated for their time spent in the employ of the company, that isn’t the reality for many.

This was confirmed by Chief Education Officer for the OWTU, Ozzy Warwick in an interview with News Power Now on Monday.

Mr Warwick explained that contrary to belief, there are many employees who will go home with nothing to show for their years of hard work and contribution to this country’s largest sector.

His claims were seconded by opposition MP Dr Surujrattan Rambachan who claimed to have documents from a Petrotrin employee who he says went home with just under 40 thousand dollars after 40 years of service.
