Concerns are again being raised about challenges facing the process of the appointment of a permanent Commissioner of Police.
The latest extension of Acting Police Commissioner, Stephen Williams, comes to an end, at the end of this month.
He has been acting in the substantive position for some time now.
Police Social and Welfare Association President, Inspector, Anand Ramesar, in a News Power Now interview this afternoon said it is critical, weaknesses in the system, are urgently addressed.
Inspector Ramesar insisted said there must be the will to correct problems experienced with such a serious portfolio.
