TATEC employees suspended

T&TEC logoSix employees from the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission were given a one month suspension without pay Monday .

The TATEC workers are attached to the Public Street Lighting Section at the Gasparillo, Office.

The men were allegedly beating drums, using placards, on the compound and took part in a march on May 23rd in Port Of Spain.

The employees were all warned with correspondences from management stating it is a serious violation to take part in any illegal protest action.

They were reminded that they are part of an essential service.

However, News Power Now was informed that approximately 30 other employees, from Southern Division who allegedly took part in the said march are under investigation at this time.
