Taxi Drivers from the Brazil/ Talparo/ Arena area are today saying media reports that they have decided to delay a price increase due to the death of teenager Rachel Ramkissoon are incorrect.

President of the Brazil/ Talparo/ Arena Association Sylman Kallian told News Power Now that he had seen the reports however he said that they were not based on the reality of the situation.

Member of Parliament for La Horquetta/Talparo, Maxie Cuffie told News Power Now that he met with taxi drivers only on Tuesday last week to discuss a fare increase which was implemented.

Now he says that is being revisited.

However Kallian sought to clarify what he said was false information.

A Form Five student, Rachel Ramkissoon missed her bus Friday morning and it is believed she may have arranged for a taxi to take her to school.

She never made it to school and her body was found in a forested area in San Raphael, late Friday afternoon.
