A team has been appointed to lead the investigation on the Dana Seetahal murder case.
In May this year Ms Seetahal was ambushed and shot to death inside her sports utility vehicle in Woodbrook.
Former lead investigator on the case Assistant Commissioner of Police Wayne Dick left on extended vacation leave last Friday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police for crime Glenn Hackett said the team appointed was already involved in the case.
DCP Hackett added that all information gathered by ACP dick was passed on before he proceeded on leave.
He added that the case is progressing and is at a sensitive stage.
