Government is told by an Opposition Member of Parliament it could have taken action to prevent the shutdown of several public buildings.
The Public Services Association recently instructed its members not to carry out their duties if health and safety standards are not conducive.
During his contribution to the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Bill 2014 in the House of Representatives on Friday, St Joseph MP , Terrance Deyalsingh said there were options available to the state, to help resolve the situation.
Mr. Deyalsingh cited the Government Campus as one of the locations that should have been utilized.

However, responding to the concerns raised Housing Minister, Dr Roodal Moonilal, cited challenges at some of the buildings available.
