THA building shut-down, as building is deemed “unfit” for employees.

Yet another Tobago House of Assembly building has been shut down. The Public Services Association (PSA) sent home some 400 workers. PSA deemed the the Division of Education, Youth Affairs and Sport buildling in Dutch Fort, Scarborough “unfit” for employees.

According to PSA president Watson Duke workers have had to endure months of uncomfortable working conditions.

At a Press Conference on Wednesday, PSA President Watson Duke said the air-conditioning in the building has not been working for close to two months and the workers have been complaining about the humid conditions under which they are being forced to work.

In response, the Tobago House of Assembly’s Chief Secretary Orville London said the THA is not to be blamed.
