Petrotrin has retrieved the body of Curtis Pierre, the Point Fortin man who jumped into an oil tank on Saturday.
In a media statement, the state owned company said it completed the recovery exercise on Thursday at its Point Fortin Tank Farm Operations.
The man’s body was retrieved from within the company’s storage tank.
Petrotrin said the custody of the deceased has been transferred to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and the immediate family members have been informed.
Petrotrin added that investigations are continuing and is reminding members of the public to comply with the notices at the company’s various areas of operations which restrict access to authorised personnel only.
Petrotrin is now said to be reviewing its security arrangements.
